How much do you charge?
New reduced rates
For smaller jobs, I charge £25.00 per hour minimum 2 hour or a full day for £140
Why reduced rates.
To keep me very competitive during the economic turn down.
For larger projects which may take one or more days, I will give you an estimate based on our lower daily rate. All materials I supply are charged extra. At the moment, I does not charge VAT.

Does this include the cost of materials?
No. Any materials I supply are extra. Many customers have already bought their own materials, and use us only for labour. However, I do carry a wide selection of commonly needed parts and materials in case you've forgotten anything, so i am often able to just get on with the job. i am equally happy to select and supply the parts and materials you need, but i will have to charge you for this.
Do you give free estimates?
I can give you a good idea of the time needed to do most jobs over the phone. If when i arrive the job looks like it's going to take a lot longer, i will revise the estimate, and if you then decide not to go ahead, i won't charge you anything. For bigger jobs, such as fitting a new kitchen, i will call first to discuss your project with you and give you an estimate.
How quickly can you attend?
All my work is booked in advance, usually a few days ahead. But i can sometimes take on work the same day.
Do you work in the evenings and at the weekends?
Yes. But i charge a premium of 50% for this service.
Will you be on time?
I know your time is valuable, and I know how frustrating it can be when tradesmen are either late or don't turn up at all. I will make every effort to be on time, but I do sometimes get held up in traffic or on a previous job. If for any reason I get delayed by more than 30 minutes, I will call to let you know.
What areas do you cover?
My Handyman Service covers Warrington,Cheshire, and the surrounding area.
Do you guarantee the work you do?
I take great pride in my work, and I want you to be delighted with the results. If you are not completely satisfied, I will come back and correct it for you.
Are you insured?
Yes £1m of public liability insurance.
How qualified are you?
29 years practical experience in building and construction.
Do you do Gas work?
No. you will need to have a Gas Safe approved gas engineer.

What's the largest job you take on?
I do take on jobs lasting several days, such as kitchen fitting.

Laminate Flooring
Lay laminate flooring with beading to a room size 12`x10` …………1 Day
If the room is cleared out of all small items by yourself. I can work around big items like settees by fitting one half of the floor and moving the item on-to the newly laid part of the floor.
I can also move all your small item out of the room but this will take longer .
You will need on site the laminate flooring underlay and beading. Please store flooring flat and in the room it is to be laid
I can collect your flooring for a small charge.
Furniture
Assemble a Three drawer unit ………1- 2 hours
Assemble a Two Door Wardrobe….…2- 3 hours
Assemble a Dining room table……….1-2 hours
Assemble a Dining room chair………..30minutes-1 hour
Blinds
Fitting Made-to-measure blinds takes 15-20 minutes for each blide.
Blinds that need to be cut to size, 30-45 minutes to cut and fit.
Hanging pictures, mirrors, and alike
Items hung from a cord will take on average…………… 5 minutes each.
Pictures, paintings or mirrors without a cord ………….15-30 minutes.
Exceptionally Large, heavy or complex items may take .30 minutes-1 hour.
Fit a shelf ........................................................................30 minutes
Light fitting
Replace existing light fittings, switches and sockets. 15-45 min depending on the size.
Plumbing
Replace sink Taps……………………………….... 30minutes-1 hour
Fit a outside Tap……………………………….......30minutes-1 hour
Fitting Washing Machines or Dishwashers…….. 1- 1.5 hours
Install new bathroom suite in the same layout…. 1- 2 days
Plastering
Skim 1 wall 8’ high x 10’ wide 2-3 hours
Artex a 10`x10`ceiling (stipple) 2 hours
